Travel Exemptions - Shipments to Australia

The Australian Government has tightened entry permits for people coming to, or shipping goods into Australia. Additional measures have been implemented by Customs (Australian Border Force) for the clearance of Household Goods and Personal Effects shipments. If you are not entitled to travel to Australia or have not obtained the necessary travel exemptions, we will not be granted permission for the import of your goods and we will not be able to clear your shipment. We will not ship out your goods unless you have a travel entry exemption into Australia. If there is a need to pack up your goods urgently, we are able to pack and keep your goods in Singapore until you have obtained your travel exemption to Australia.

Applying for Travel Exemptions to Australia

You will need to apply for an exemption to travel to Australia within 2 to 12 Weeks of your intended travel In order to apply for travel exemption request, the minimum requirement is that you must have already obtained a valid visa for Australia. You must be able to provide information and supporting documents to for your travel application. Requests may be rejected if the supporting documents and/or information is not sufficient.

Exempt Travellers

You will automatically be exempt from the current travel exemptions if you are: A Citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia An immediate family member of a Citizen / Permanent Resident of Australia A New Zealand Citizen whose primary residence is in Australia and their immediate family members A Diplomat holding a Subclass 995 visa Airline / Maritime Crew You will not need to obtain individual exceptions if you fall into one of the above categories.

Compassionate or Exceptional Travel Requests

You may be granted a special exemption if you genuinely have an exceptional reason to travel, including compassionate reasons. Even if you are travelling on such grounds, you must still hold a valid visa to travel to Australia, otherwise you will not be allowed to board a flight bound for Australia.
