  • Exclusive use of a dedicated 20ft or 40ft ocean container.
  • Fastest transit times because the container is sealed directly at your home.

Priority Air Freight

  • Best for essential business items, clothing, or immediate necessities
  • Goods are flown via premium air freight carriers.
  • Reduces waiting time from weeks down to a matter of days.

Less than Container Load (LCL)

  • Goods are securely sealed in protective wooden crates (Liftvans).
  • Offers fixed weekly departures without waiting for a full container.

Plan Your Move

Choosing the Right International Moving Company from Singapore to Australia

Navigating an international relocation requires absolute precision. To protect your family from unexpected delays, customs fines, and port storage fees, our dedicated relocation specialists ensure your shipment fully complies with strict Australian border controls.

Zero-Duty Alcohol Limits on International Removals

The Australian Border Force enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy on undeclared alcohol. There is no duty-free allowance for liquor items contained within household shipments. Even a single open bottle or can of beer triggers automated duty processing. To avoid total container clearance lockups, our move managers assist you in compiling a line-by-line alcohol inventory detailing bottle sizes, dollar values, and exact alcohol percentages.

Compliance for Shipping a Car to Australia from Singapore

Do not load or ship any car or motorcycle until you hold an official road vehicle import approval from Australian authorities. Importing an unapproved vehicle carries severe penalties, resulting in immediate customs bond storage or forced re-exportation. Additionally, personal vehicle imports face a baseline 5% Customs Duty and 10% GST calculated against current market valuations.

Certified FIDI FAIM International Moving Network

We do not use unverified local contractors. We partner exclusively with local Australian moving companies accredited by FIDI FAIM—the gold standard alliance for international relocation services. Our destination partners undergo continuous, independent quality audits verifying their operational excellence, stable infrastructure, and professional door-to-door final delivery.

General FAQ for Moving to Australia

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A groupage shipment is when each shipper or customer shares the cost of shipping the container bound for the same destination. This method of shipping is legal to Australia and is offered to customers with small volumes. Groupage shipping is slower than FCL (Full Container Load) & LCL (Less than Container Load) freight and is dependent on us maximizing the container space before sailing. If you are not in a rush to receive your goods in Australia then this is the most economical option. If you are working on a tight timeline, you may want to consider Air, FCL or LCL shipping options Instead.

The Australian Border Force requires your passport, personal information and identity documents in order to verify the property owner’s identity and if he/she is eligible for relief on Duties and Taxes. All our agents abide strictly by privacy and personal data protection laws. You can rest assured that your personal data and your personal effects are in safe hands.

Used personal effects and household goods are free of GST and Duty. Australian Customs has very clear criteria on what is regarded as an Unaccompanied Personal Effects (UPE) shipment.

The person importing these goods must be either a citizen, a temporary resident or a permanent resident returning to take up or resume residency in Australia, or a someone who has an approved visa for long stay. Check here for list of eligible visas. The household goods must be personally owned and used for at least 12 months before shipping into Australia. This rule does not apply to personal clothing , footwear, or grooming items (with the minor exception of furs and fragrances).

These items are NOT considered personal effects. They can still be imported but are subject to different Customs Duty and Tax assessments.

  • Gifts and Inherited items from overseas while you were resident in Australia.
  • Overseas Purchases (eg online shopping) while you were resident in Australia
  • Alcohol or Tobacco products.
  • Vehicles
  • Commercial Goods

The DAWR (Department of Agriculture and Water Resources) will only allow the unloading of import shipments within approved premises with sufficient measures to contain contamination and bio-hazard risks, complete with a proper waste management procedure in place. Specially trained and accredited personnel, as well as purpose-built computer systems which require yearly audits and licensing are needed for inspection and reporting . The costs for inspections, clearance and attendance by DAWR officers are also factored in to the quarantine fees charged to you.

All personal effects shipments must go through the mandatory quarantine inspection. Australia is unique, in the sense that they are not connected by land to any other country or continent, thus being one of the few countries in the world to have low exposure to pests and diseases found in other countries. In order to protect this, the Australian government makes it mandatory for all internationally shipped household goods to go through this quarantine process.

Unlike other International destinations, where delivery can be arranged almost immediately once customs clearance is complete, clearance times in Australia can take anywhere between 1 to 4 weeks. The clearance times are hugely dependent on the availability of the officers at the time your shipment arrives. Your goods are trucked to our agent’s approved warehouse from the port of entry. Firstly, the ABF (Australian Border Force) will go through your submitted Customs Form. Your shipment may be placed on hold if there are any queries or clarifications to be made. Once this is completed, your goods will be put in line for the next available quarantine inspection. Our agents have designated days of the week when DAFF Officers will come to carry out the inspections. If the officer has any concerns with anything in the shipment, the inspection criteria will become more stringent and cause the process to take more time. Only upon the clearance by ABF and DAWR, our agents will be given a “Cleared” Status. They will only be able to arrange delivery with you at this stage.
