This document outlines our enhanced 2025 programme based on the latest expectations from the FIDI network and global best practices. It is designed to evolve over time through continuous staff engagement, stakeholder input, and annual assessment.
1. Environmental Sustainability
Mission Statement
CM Relocation understands the need for protecting the environment and have committed to carry out the necessary practices with a goal to minimize the impact of our business operations on the environment and continuously seek the understanding our employees, suppliers and partners to help reduce the environmental impact through implementing the following:
Our commitment to the environment goes beyond regulatory compliance. We actively aim to reduce our carbon footprint and minimize the ecological impact of our operations through the following:
- Assess and regularly re-assess the environmental effects of the organisations activities.
- Carbon Emissions Reduction: - Continued adoption of virtual pre-move surveys, targeting a 60% reduction in on-site survey mileage. Gradual fleet replacement plan to transition towards electric or hybrid vehicles by 2030.
- Resource Efficiency: - Route optimization for all moving vehicles to reduce fuel consumption and idle time.
- Waste Management / Eco Friendly Initiatives - Reduction of plastic and disposable packaging by increasing use of reusable moving crates and recycled content cartons. - Partner with suppliers who commit to sustainable packing materials and reduced-waste policies. - Reuse Packing Cartons where possible
- Office & Warehouse Environmental Practices: - Energy Efficient lighting and air-conditioning systems. - Regular sustainability impact assessments of office and warehouse operations
- Supplier and Partner Expectations: - Sustainability expectations incorporated into subcontractor and partner agreements, in line with FIDI guidelines.
- Promoting a Company-wide awareness, and an Eco-friendly culture among the staff and service partners by providing training on environmental issues and its potential impact on the environment through our activities.
2. Social Sustainability
CM Relocation is dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and fair workplace, fostering a strong sense of purpose among our employees and contributing positively to the community.
- Health, Safety, and Mental Wellbeing: - Regular safety audits and toolbox talks with operations staff. - Annual mental health awareness campaigns and confidential access to support resources. - Zero-harm target reinforced through monthly safety briefings.
- Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI): - Inclusive hiring practices with emphasis on skills, not background. - Mandatory DEI training for all new hires and refresher workshops for existing staff
- Employee Engagement & Development: - Career progression paths mapped for all staff roles. - Yearly performance review and feedback system to include employee satisfaction and development goals. - Paid leave for volunteering in community programmes.
- Community Engagement: - Long-term partnership with local charities and recycling drives such as donation of used office furniture from office moving jobs to local beneficiaries such as schools or social enterprises
- Learning and Development Opportunities - Training Slides available in our internal online portal for staff that do not get to attend external training or seminars / conferences - Content written by management who attend external training or industry events

3. Governance
Strong governance is vital for accountability and continual progress in our sustainability programme.
- Sustainability Governance Structure: - Sustainability Officer (GM) responsible for strategy, review, and coordination across all departments. - ESG committee meets quarterly to assess progress and approve future actions.
- Reporting and Transparency: - Sustainability Report published and distributed to clients, partners, and staff. - Internal dashboard tracks carbon emissions, diversity metrics, training hours, and social outreach.
- Continuous Review and Compliance: - Annual internal review with input from all departments. - Compliance checks with FIDI FAIM sustainability requirements. - Integration of ESG metrics into vendor selection and project evaluation.
