INCLUDED SERVICES
Services at Origin
- Our personal Move coordinator will provide on-going contact throughout the move.
- Careful and professional packing will be carried out by highly trained personnel, led by an experienced English-speaking supervisor.
- Use of high-quality packing materials including various special purpose cartons, cardboard sheet and roll, acid free tissue, wax paper, bubble pack and silica gel
- Preparation of international paperwork - including custom clearance formalities
- Prepayment of freight and related charges
- Marking and labeling of packages
- A complete itemized inventory list detailing each package to be transported
Ocean Freight
- Ocean Freight to Designated Port of Entry
- Loaded onto fully containerized Vessel
Destination Services
- Normal customs clearance and delivery (based on standard access), at the destination provided by client
- Terminal Handling Charges
- Delivery of packages from port to residence within city limits
- Complete unloading and placement of furniture and cartons into residence with normal access
- Unpacking of goods onto flat surfaces (counter-top, beds etc). Unwrapping and assembly of used, dismantled furniture (e.g. dining table, beds) that do not require specialized services
- Interim storage can be provided at destination on an optional basis at additional cost
- Prepayment of freight and related charges
- Removal of debris from your home
Note: Customer to provide all required documents for customs clearance prior to arrival of shipment at destination port or when required
EXCLUDED SERVICES
- On-time guarantee of sailing schedule (i.e. shipment ETD - Estimated Time of Departure and ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) and delivery date (unless delivery has been confirmed).
- Sailing transit times when advised are an estimate and the transit may vary subjected to circumstances that often not within our control. Delivery date can only be planned upon the release of shipment from the customs clearance process.
- Insurance coverage and insurance premium fees.
- Freight surcharges (incurred after our quotation date) - Important to note that FREIGHT is an element subject to change, such as supply and demand of space, fuel prices and currency exchange.
- If there are new surcharges imposed by Shipping Lines/Carriers after the date of our quotation, these will not be included in our current offer, these charges will be for your account and we will provide all supporting documents to support the additional charges.
- Customs duties and taxes.
- Additional (intensive, X-rays, etc.) customs examinations & screening, fumigation and ad-hoc intensive quarantine charges unless otherwise stated.
- Demurrage, container detention, storage and warehouse handling fees.
- Charges related to more than one pick-up or delivery address.
- Access related charges incurred at delivery address. This will include but not limited to the following - Stair-carry, Long-carry, Shuttle ferry, External/Internal elevator, etc. Surcharges will apply due to additional manpower/time required beyond that which will be required for normal access delivery. Please note that we can only determine accessibility (and its associated surcharges if any) upon delivery when access can be physically checked. We do not perform accessibility checks on your address advice prior to quotation or delivery.
- Delivery above 2nd floor at destination
- Heavy Lift/Handling of exceptional items that require special equipment or manpower (e.g. pianos, safes, pool tables) or any single item that is above 125kg and/or requires a 4 man lift
- Storage and handling charges.
- Additional handling charges due to bad weather (if required).
- Disposal services
- Valet unpacking (i.e. unpacking of household & personal effects and placing these into their respective spaces within cupboards, wardrobes, cabinets, etc.).
- Assembly and disassembly of complicated and/or newly-purchased (flat-packed) furniture Electrical & Carpentry services
- Disconnection and connection of computers, audio-visual equipment and appliances
- Wall-dismounting/mounting of televisions/stereo equipment/speakers (unless otherwise specified)
- Non-refundable Condominium Management Fees (charges as incurred will be invoiced back)
- Packing/deliveries after business hours, weekends and public holidays
- Our packing/unpacking crew can assist with simple furniture assembly and disassembly.
- However, if our crew is unable to assemble or disassemble the furniture piece, the specialization of a handyman or a third-party can be arranged at an extra charge upon your request.
- Customized crating charges.
- Non-refundable deposit imposed by your building management for payment such as lift padding.
Packing Dates and Cancellation Clause
The packing dates(s) will be confirmed upon receipt of a signed Acceptance of Move Estimate.
If there is a need to postpone or cancel your move, please give notice at least 3 working days in advance. Any cancellation or postponement made less than 3 working days before the scheduled packing or delivery date will incur a cancellation fee which will be stated in our official Quotation to you.
